In ancient times the Jambi country consisted of five
villages, namely the village of Tujuh Koto, Nine Koto, Petajin, Muaro Sebo, and
Batin Duo Belas. The five villages do not have a King who will lead the
villages.
meanwhile, more and more residents of the five villages are
increasingly crowded and developing. Seeing this development, they need a king
who is able to lead and unite them.
finally the elders of each village gathered in the Batin Duo
Belas Village which was located at the foot of Mount Siguntang for
deliberation. they determine the terms of the king who will be chosen later
that is to have an advantage between them, How can we know the advantages of
each of us? asked the elder from Sembilan Kato Village.
we must test each of the potential leaders, answer the
elders of the Batin Duo Belas Village, that is through four exams, they are
burned, soaked in boiling water, made into cannon bullets and fired, finally
milled with an iron refinery. anyone who made it through the test, then he is
the one who has the right to become king, added the elder of the Batin Duo
Belas Village.
All meeting participants agreed, they agreed to carry out
the exam in three days in the Batin Duo Belas Village. they will choose the
people who are considered the most powerful among them.
The time for the exam arrived. All residents of the five
villages had gathered in the Inner Village of Duo Belas to watch the race for
the King's title. Each village has prepared their respective representatives.

country? the proposal of elders from the Batin Duo Belas Village. they agreed
to the proposal and immediately sent two representatives from each village to
go to find a king's candidate. in each country they visited, they asked who was
willing to become the king of Jambi and did not forget to mention the
conditions, namely to take the four exams. But they have not found anyone
willing to become the king of Jambi.
finally, the group was determined to sail the ocean on the
tip of Sumatra Island. After days of being swayed by waves in the middle of the
vast ocean, they arrived at the Rivet Country in India.
they traveled around the vast Rivet Land to look for people
who were willing to become King of Jambi with the tests they had determined.
One day, they heard the news that in a village in the Rivet Country, there was
someone famous for having a high magic power.
finally, they met the magician. We are delegates from Jambi.
Our country is looking for a king but with the condition to pass the exam. Are
you willing? asked one of the group, then told him about the test that the
king's candidate had to undergo.

group immediately took the king's candidate back to Jambi. The person who was
considered magic was welcomed by the people of Jambi. they hope that the
candidates who come are truly powerful people, so they pass the test and become
their king. The next day, like the previous king candidates, the Rivet was

after being tested with the second and third exams, the person persisted. And
lastly the Rivet will face the most severe test, which is ground with a large
iron refinery. Residents who watched holding their breath. This is a thrilling
moment. first of all, both ends of the Rivet's toes are put into an iron
refinery. The refinery began to rotate and little by little the body of the
Rivet moved forward interested in a rotating iron refinery.
all the people who watched him turn a blind eye, they were
unable to see the body of the Rivet crumbling. But a few moments later there
was a loud explosion, the large iron refinery was smashed to pieces, while the
Rivet remained immune and fresh.
the people were very happy, because they managed to find the
powerful king of Jambi, finally we have a powerful king and are able to lead
this country! said one happy resident.
then the entire population of Tujuh Koto Village, Nine Koto,
Muaro Sebo, Petajin, and Batin Duo Belas immediately built a nice palace and
held a festive party to inaugurate the coronation of Raja Negeri Jambi. a few
months later, a beautiful palace stood and the Rivet was crowned the King of
Jambi
